Hull get their BIG NAME signing

Thursday, 3 September 2009

One would say Phil Brown has finally got the big name signing he was looking for in the form of Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink whose name is 23 letters long. The dutch man joins Hull City as a free agent having been released by Celtic at the end of his contract in July 2009.

Hesselink boast an impressive scoring record of 34 goals in 78 appearances for Celtic. An interesting stat to note, in the 2008-09 season Celtic did not lose any games in which he scored in, lets hope he can start firing them in for Hull also.

The 30-year-old has signed a 2 year deal at the KC Stadium and should be a perfect partner for loanee Jozy Altidore upfront.
